Henry's Crime Review

Henry's Crime

Louisville producer Scott Fischer's new film, “Henry's Crime,” which stars Keanu Reeves, James Caan and Vera Farmiga, opened over the weekend in select cities.
The flick, directed by Malcolm Venville and starring Reeves as a tollbooth collector wrongly accused of a bank heist, received warm reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival in the fall.
It's currently on the big screen in Los Angeles, New York City and San Francisco.
Movie website BoxOffice.com says “Henry's Crime” features “a terrific cast led by Reeves, Vera Farmiga and a splendid James Caan. This is a fun comedy with irresistible heist and heart. Adult audiences looking for a smart, entertaining film should line up, and strong word of mouth could reap a decent haul for this modest little caper.”
The film is expected be released at the end of the week in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Boston, Seattle, Portland, Ore., Buffalo, N.Y., and Phoenix.

No 3D Matrix

There were previous rumors that Keanu Reeves met with the Wachowski brothers over the possibility of a fourth and fifth Matrix movie, and it could even be shot in 3D. While the prospect of such a movie would be great, since 3D TVs are increasingly common, the bad news is that a representative for Reeves has since come out and refuted such statements, claiming that they’re complete false. What do you think? Would you welcome a new Matrix movie, and do you think watching the bullet time effect in 3D would be something special?

Did Keanu hint at 2 NEW MATRIX films in 3D?

Did Keanu Reeves Hint at Two New Matrix Films in 3D?

In London town to promote Henry’s Crime Keanu Reeves has done the rounds with the press and when our very own editor Dave Sztypuljak sat down with the man himself a long list of possible future projects were named and Reeves gamely updated his involvement or shot down the rumours.
And while we were very pleased to know that Bill and Ted 3 is being written and that the actor is on board if it’s any good, there was one film series key to Reeves’ past success which was not mentioned – until now.
Taking part in a  Q&A at a London acting school (the original post doesn’t make it clear which) the actor gave the same updates he had given us, but then something unexpected happened. He mentioned the next two Matrix films. Someone in attendance made some notes and sent them to AICN (pointed to us by Bleeding Cool) and here’s what they said,
[Reeves] Says he met the Wachowski’s (no emphasis on the word brothers), for lunch over Christmas and stated that they had completed work on a two picture script treatment that would see him return to the world of the matrix as Neo.
Says the brothers have met with Jim Cameron to discuss the pro’s and con’s of 3D and are looking to deliver something which has never been seen again. keanu stated that he still has an obligation to the fans to deliver a movie worthy of the title “The Matrix” and he swears this time that the treatment will truly revolutionise the action genre like the first movie.
Wachowski’s are working on a movie called “Cloud Atlas” at the moment, once that concludes they will talk again.
It’s the first we’ve heard of a return to the Matrix which, despite two sequels which first ate The Matrix and then threw it up, remains a much loved movie. At the time the film was something very special and remains influential (Gnomeo and Juliet have a scene in which battling gnomes jump at each other in slow motion…) but we’ve naturally heard nothing from the Wachowskis nor anyone else involved on any future films in the series. This is an unconfirmed report, and may be useful only in gauging the appetite for another two Matrix films.
It’s a start though, and a return to the world to make good on the promise of the original film is no bad thing in my book – and in 3D? I can think of worse ways to see The Matrix Resurrected.

Keanu Reeves: I'm not a fighter

Keanu Reeves has confessed he is terrible at fighting in real life.
The star of The Matrix admits he may appear a champion fighter on screen, but in real life he doesn't know what to do.
Keanu told Total Film magazine: "I'm a really good movie fighter but it doesn't translate to the real world."
He went on: "If they gave out black belts for movie fighting, I'm second dan. But in real life? I'm nothing."
As well as martial arts expert Neo in the Matrix movies, Keanu is known for playing dopey drop-out Ted in Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure.
The 46-year-old Canadian actor confirmed he and co-star Alex Winter are working on getting a third Bill And Ted movie made.
He said: "We're trying. Alex and I are still friends and we're talking to Chris [Matheson] and Ed [Solomon - the writers].
"I would love to play the role and I'd love to work with Alex and Chris and Ed again."

Keanu on London TV Show - The Graham Norton Show

Only Marcus Brigstocke Can Make Keanu Reeves Smile: A Meme Is Born

KEANU Reeves was the stand-out meme star of 2010. He’s on the Graham Norton show tomorrow night. Can he affect a new pose that will set the internet alight once more?
Also on thE show is Marcus Brigstocke. He might be the funniest man in jobbing Green Shirt comedy if his parody of an earnest, worthy, arrogant child who makes us hanker for an easy death drowning with the polar bears was less self-aware.

start date for Keanu Reeves Tai-Chi Tiger

Start date for Reeves’ Tai-Chi Tiger
by "Caffeinated" Clint (Monday, January 3rd, 2011 at 6:37 am)

A couple of years ago Keanu Reeves announced his intention to help finance and develop a new martial arts movie starring Chen Hu. Seems that film has found it’s legs.
Reeves, says Club Keanu, is putting his money where his mouth is, bankrolling the new martial-arts flick ”Tai-Chi Tiger” which now has a start date of April 2011.
Fighting machine Hu will star in the film playing some sort of Kung-Fu master.
Back when it was first announced, Reeves had also expressed interest in acting in the film, mentioning he’d be up for playing a villain. That might still be the case, if these photos are anything to go by it’d seem Reeves has been practicing his Tai-Chi skills in Los Angeles over the past couple of months.
Reeves, of course, cut his teeth as a martial artist on ”The Matrix” movies and it’s there that he met Chen Hu. Hu helped Reeves train for the sequels.
